Our Story

SIMBA® started out in a garage with stock medallions, neck ribbons and trophy hardware. “As the demand grew for new products at a better price, our founder Jay was one of the first suppliers to travel to China and start direct importing for the Awards industry,” Schechter says. “As the popularity of custom products grew, SIMBA® focused not only on the awards industry but more into our Express in-house customized products ranging from medallions, lapel pins and key tags all the way to our new Championship Award Belts, golf and beverage accessories, badge reels, coins and much more.”

There is much to take pride in when you source a product from SIMBA®. The name ‘Simba’ translates as “lion” in the Swahili language, representing our strength in the industry and the commitment we have to our customers. Established in 1974 by Jay Schechter, Simba consistently earns a 5-star industry rating from distributors. The Express in-house line also makes it easy to quickly find the right product at a fair price. SIMBA® can also pull, imprint and deliver product to meet tight turn times. Its full production facilities are strategically based in North Carolina and California. “With our multiple locations we can produce your order in as few as three days with our Express Service,” Schechter says.

SIMBA® also provides innovative decoration. “We have always kept an eye out for trends and staying ahead of the curve,” Schechter says, “which includes laser, Full Color VIBRAPRINT™ with poly-doming, and now our brand new Full Color 3D TEXTURE TONE™ printing process!” There is free setup for all in-house SIMBA-made Express full-color products.
